Washington

ashington is an 8 month-old adorable male German Shorthaired Pointer/Weim Mix. Very sweet guy, affectionate and loves to cuddle. He is good on walks once you get him on the leash and out the door. Not a barker, but will alert to people/dogs in his "area". Plays well with other dogs. Lived with an indoor cat and did very well, but tends to like to chase outdoor cats.

The Good Stuff: Washington is a sweet guy. He does well on a leash. He knows the commands “sit”, “come”, “off”, “let's go” and "leave it". Very much a puppy. Loves being with his people and giving and getting affection.

The Challenges: Needs basic training, and to be house trained and crate trained. A little shy at first, but then he comes around. Has some separation anxiety.

Washington needs a home who are ready for a puppy, and can give him the daily training and exercise he needs. A home with another dog would be ideal, but being an only dog is fine too, as he loves being the center of attention! If you work from home, or are able to take a dog to work, Washington could be your guy! He absolutely loves being with his people, and would thrive in a home with another dog to keep him company and show him the ropes, or with someone who is home, and can devote the time with him.
